We’re here to help you navigate a cloud-first digital world.

What we can do for you

DDI

DNS

DHCP

IPAM

DDI encompasses DNS, DHCP and IP address management services. These are fundamental components of an increasingly interconnected world, used by every online organisation's customer, user and system across the world. We can:

  • Review an organisation's DDI strategy and service configuration and provide recommendations for improvement

  • Implement and configure DDI services, from on-site local instances all the way up to enterprise level global IP address management solutions

  • Migrate DDI services between vendor platforms; integrate DDI services during acquisitions and mergers; handle the separation and partition of services in case of companies de-merging

  • Make recommendations for team building to successfully design, build, operate and maintain DNS, DHCP and IP address management, including major upgrades and evergreening programmes.

  • Provide End User Training on DNS, DHCP and IP Address Management

DevOps

More than being just a collection of technical skill sets, DevOps is a methodology founded on transparency, collaboration and open communication.

We bring this approach into our consulting. You, our client, are integrated into the process at every stage until implementation and beyond. Our approach strongly aligns with the principles detailed in the Agile Manifesto. We can:

  • Use "Infrastructure as Code" tools such as Terraform and Ansible to migrate or configure servers and databases in the market leading public cloud provider Amazon Web Services (AWS).

  • Create pipelines to enable Continuous Integration (frequent changes to code) and Continuous Deployment (keeping applications and services up to date as new code is released)

  • Configure monitoring and alerting to measure capacity, performance and to respond to failure scenarios.

  • Use industry standard tools such as Jira to implement frameworks such as Scrum and its associated sprints, or the more workflow-oriented Kanban lean methods along with Confluence for documentation.

  • Facilitate agile ceremonies - retrospectives, reviews, coaching teams on how to work collaboratively and enhance their processes.

A little more about Indus

Communication and collaboration are at the heart of our service. Trust is vital to us, and we strive to honour the human experience – your experience. We build long-lasting relationships with our clients in a way that enables and supports autonomy and adaptability. We work on the basis of knowledge transfer combined with continued support after the transition to cloud is complete. This means that services can be managed independently by our clients, and respond dynamically to changes in climate. We’re all about empowered, inspired action.

We understand the vital role of foundational technology and technological approaches in our evolving world. With a strong bedrock, you will be best placed to move through our cloud-first environment in a dynamic, secure and sustainable way.

We provide highly available, scalable and integrated tools for working in increasingly dynamic environments.

Specialising in cloud automation, we use Terraform, Ansible and Python to migrate and then maintain services and applications in the cloud, saving time and resources, and reducing technical debt by enabling teams and technology to work together smoothly and efficiently.

With a host of technical and non-technical skills, we’ll work with you to design and implement meaningful change in ways that are lasting and versatile.

Our technical expertise has long been trusted and sought after in the industry. We have decades of hands-on experience, becoming a leader in the DDI field for a global bank and later for one of the world's leading companies.

Joss has been directly involved in DDI design and provision, working with market-leading products such as Infoblox, BlueCat, VitalQIP and EfficientIP. More recently we’ve also incorporated DevOps.

Our non-technical expertise in requirements gathering, engagement with clients, reporting, and project management, makes our approach agile and inclusive.

Joss Yousaf, Indus Cloud Consulting Director

About the founder

I joined HSBC’s graduate trainee programme with a degree in Philosophy. My multidisciplinary background has served me well, giving me a fresh perspective on how logic underpins software development, algorithms and building systems. Staying with HSBC, I built and managed a key enterprise network service, later stepping into architecting and consultancy, and from there into team management. I’m a sharp troubleshooter, a skill I attribute to the leadership and collaboration skills I’ve honed along the way combined with my openness to different ways of thinking.

Communication and collaboration are at the heart of not just what I do, but who I am. I’m bilingual, having grown up in a non English speaking household. Speaking more than one language gives not only a wider range of communication through words and gestures, but also an open, intuitive understanding of different ways of thinking and being.

I pick up new languages easily when I travel, a result of my language learning skill in combination with my empathic nature. Outside of work, I love music and am a self-taught bass guitarist. I’m interested in history, religion, and philosophy, and am also an avid Arsenal supporter, at one point co-hosting a podcast with international listeners.
